A concept of a battery storage area

Solar PV and Battery Storage Package

£944.98 £1,049.98 ex VAT

EAL Level 3 Award In the Installation of Small Scale Solar Photovoltaic Systems

EAL Level 3 Award in the Design, Installation and Commissioning of Electrical Energy Storage Systems

This popular package combines both the Solar PV course and the Battery Storage courses over 4 days.

The latest edition of Both IET Solar PV and Electrical Energy Storage Codes of Practice are now included in this package.

Both are fully accredited and MCS (Microgeneration Certification Scheme) recognised qualifications

Solar PV Installer Qualification

Solar is an essential part of the mix of renewables that the UK will rely on over the coming years to provide our energy and along with Wind, Heat Pumps, Electric Vehicles and Energy Storage Systems is a rapidly growing industry.

Overview:

This fully accredited MCS (Microgeneration Certification Scheme) recognised qualification allows the learner to acquire underpinning knowledge and related skills for the installation of small scale solar photovoltaic systems. The course also covers associated three-phase Installation and battery storage within the subject matter.

Battery Storage Qualification

Battery technology has greatly improved in recent years leading to wider use in domestic settings, especially when installed and used in conjunction with Solar Panels.

This qualification covers the installation of  Electrical Energy Storage Systems (EESS) in accordance with the IET Code of Practice for Electrical Energy Storage Systems.

This package is designed to provide two fully accredited level 3 qualifications upon successful completion of the course and assessments.

The course will provide detailed theory and practical knowledge enabling you to apply the relevant regulations and guidance when involved with Solar and battery storage systems.

Activate Trade Training deliver MCS approved, fully accredited qualifications at our dedicated training centre's close to North London the M1 and M25 and also in Central London.

WHY UP-SKILL TO SOLAR & BATTERY STORAGE?

Adding the Solar & Battery Storage Installer qualifications to your current remit will provide opportunities to significantly grow your business.

More Opportunity, More Money!

Because the UK government are keen for consumers to switch to renewable energy, there are incentives in many areas. You may soon be using your solar panels to charge up your Electric Vehicle and pre-heat your water and now with the advent of efficient battery storage systems consumers are now able to generate and store their own electricity for use in their home. The possibilities are endless and the incentives for you as a renewable installer are endless too.

All successful delegates will receive the fully accredited EAL Level 3 Award In the Installation of Small Scale Solar Photovoltaic Systems and the LCL Level 3 Award in the Design, Installation and Commissioning of Electrical Energy Storage Systems including certification.

These are fully EAL and LCL Awards accredited and approved MCS (Microgeneration Certification Scheme) recognised qualifications.

Weekend courses now available in London and Hemel Hempstead  (Free parking available)

New entrants should contact us to discuss prior preparation for all advanced courses and packages.

What is an Electrical Energy Storage System?

Electrical Energy Storage Systems provide storage of electrical energy so that it can be used later.

EESS may be installed for a variety of reasons for example:

  • Increasing the ‘self-consumption’ of buildings fitted with renewable energy systems.
  • Arbitrage services.
  • Ancillary services.
  • Providing a back-up or alternative power supply.

What’s next?

Manufacturer specific training courses are usually free of charge to qualified electrical installers and are now your route to the sector including MCS approval.

Simply call the manufacturer of your choice and book onto one of their ‘manufacturer training’ courses to learn more about their specific products.

Conveniently located:

Both our venues have good, reasonably priced hotels within easy access of our Training Centres for those wishing to stay over night. Our M25 facility has plenty of free parking and our Central London venue is very well served by public transport, with free local parking on evenings and weekends if required and paid parking close by during the week.

Both courses include an open book online assessment.
