This is the advanced Level 3 Inspection and Testing course covering both Initial Verification (new work) and Periodic Inspection & Testing (existing installations). This qualification is highly recognised and sought after in the electrical industry and essential if you want to provide periodic inspection and testing services including landlord inspections.

Course Materials

Candidates are required to bring

  • IET Requirements for Electrical Installations BS 7671:2018
  • IET Guidance Note 3
  • You can bring your own test equipment and in-date calibration certificate (test equipment can be provided if required)

Course Requirements

All candidates should have a basic knowledge of electrical installation and should also possess the 18th Edition of the Electrical Wiring Regulation – Requirements for Electrical Installations BS7671 qualification.

There is an 'open book' test, written paper and practical assessment for this qualification. You can use your books for the assessments.

Both Initial Verification & Periodic Inspection & Testing can be undertaken separately or combined.
