This course is now available in three different formats, allowing you to choose the most convenient way to complete your training:
Attend in person at our training centre, where you will receive face-to-face teaching from an experienced tutor. This interactive learning environment allows you to engage in discussions, ask questions, and benefit from hands-on demonstrations where applicable.
Join our virtual classroom from anywhere with a live tutor guiding you through the course. This option provides the structure of a classroom setting with the flexibility of online learning, allowing you to interact with your tutor and fellow students in real time.
Receive all course materials via email and study at your own pace from home. This self-directed option is ideal if you prefer to fit your learning around your schedule.

For distance learning, simply book the course and request your Distance Learning Pack and we will send this off to you via email.
All learning options include the same course content and assessment papers. If your course has a practical element or requires an in-centre assessment, you can arrange this at your convenience to fit around your work and home life.

This course is for new entrants to the Electrical Industry as well as associated trade sectors. Whether you are an apprentice just starting out, or someone looking for a career change. Or perhaps you are from an associated trade such as Plumbing or Gas and need an understanding of electricity for the development of your current business then this thorough and informative practical course is perfect for you.
This course gives you the foundations necessary to start carrying out supervised domestic electrical work and is preparation for the Domestic Electrical Installer Package and aims to prepare the new entrant in both the theory and practical elements required to work in the electrical industry.
During your course you will learn how to design and install lighting and power circuits, various cabling and installation techniques including new circuits such as cookers, showers and outdoor lighting.
This course is designed to give the new entrant a solid understanding and grounding of domestic electrical work and is the perfect foundation for the candidate to move on to the sought after LCL Awards Domestic Electrical Installer Qualification and The City & Guilds BS7671 Electrical Wiring Regulations Qualification which is the basis for competency within Electrical work in the UK.

There is no formal assessment for this course as it a foundation to the formal EAL, City & Guilds and LCL Award qualifications within our Domestic Electrical Installer Route to Industry.
