1. Commitment to Achieving Net Zero

Activate Trade Training Ltd are committed to achieving Net Zero carbon emmisions by 2050, in line with the UK government’s environmental targets. As a provider of vocational training in electrical and renewable energy sectors, we recognise the importance of reducing our environmental impact and promoting sustainable practices within our operations and training programs.

2. Baseline Emissions Footprint

A baseline emissions footprint represents the starting point for our carbon reduction plan. Our baseline assessment considers Scope 1 (direct emissions), Scope 2 (indirect emissions from purchased energy), and Scope 3 (indirect emissions from supply chain activities, travel, and waste).

Scope 1: Emissions from company-owned or controlled facilities and vehicles
Scope 2: Emissions from purchased electricity and heating
Scope 3: Emissions from business travel, commuting, procurement, and waste management

Total Emissions in Baseline Year: [20-50 tCO₂e per year]

3. Carbon Reduction Measures

To achieve our Net Zero target, we have implemented the following carbon reduction initiaitives:

Energy Efficiency: Transitioning to energy-efficient LED lighting and optimising energy use in our training centres.
Renewable Energy Adoption: Installing solar PV systems on our premises and promoting solar PV, Energy Storage, EV and Heat Pump trainig.
Sustainable Travel: Encouraging the use of public transport, car sharing, and remote working where feasible.
Waste Reduction: Implementing paperless administration, recycling programs, and responsible displosal of electrical waste.
Supplier Engagement: Prioritising suppliers with strong sustainabiliity credentials.

4. Carbon Reduction Targets

We have set interim reduction targets to track our progress towards Net Zero:

2025 Target: Reduce carbon emissions by 20% from the baseline year.
2030 Target: Achieve a 50% reduction in emissions.
2050 Target: Reach Net Zero emissions.

5. Monitoring and Reporting

We will review and update our Carbon Reduction Plan annually, measuring progress and adapting our strategy based on developments in sustainability and renewable technologies. We are comiited to transparency and will publish updates on our website.
